These pages are here to help you to find out more about the youth and children’s ministry of the parish of Heswall. For many years we have provided good quality youth and children’s ministry for all ages. Our aim is to help people to discover God in every aspect of their lives through exploring a relationship with Jesus Christ.

What’s going on?
The parish of Heswall has a wide array of activities for all ages. By clicking on the name of the group you want (to the left) you can find out what each group is doing this term

What else is there?
There are also special events which occur during the year like holiday club and confirmation plus some prayer ideas to help you get closer to God.

What’s missing?
At the moment this site only covers the core of our work in the areas of infant and primary aged children, as well as our main work with 11-14s and 14-18s. We hope to add pre-school and other related information in the future.

Uganda

By Steve Beal
Mid February sees another team of volunteers going out to Uganda. This time it's the adults turn. They will be working in very specific areas of need such as teacher training, children's ministry and practical tasks as well as building relationships with our friends in the Kampala and Masaka regions. They fully expect to learn as much as they teach on this wonderful adventure.

It's been a while

By Steve Beal
Hi! I haven't really updated for a while because I thought no-one was using the site. Imagine my surprise when I found out that 200 people had visited in the last month. OK, that's a good reason to get busy again. So...
Watch out for next terms programme information.
Look out for a Flickr addition.
also - a few new links to keep you surfing.

The WORD became flesh

John 1

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning.

3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

6There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. 7He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. 8He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. 9The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.

10He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.

14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

15John testifies concerning him. He cries out, saying, "This was he of whom I said, 'He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.' " 16From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another. 17For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known.

Please pray for

...for the children and young people who attend our groups and activities.
